Sewing Thread

Machine sewing thread is designed to pass through the threading path of a sewing machine at high speeds without breaking, or leaving lint in the machine.

The most common materials used in machine sewing thread are:

Cotton which is a natural fiber has a soft, matte finish and can tolerate high temperatures during processing and ironing.

Polyester is a synthetic fibre. It is strong and durable which makes it suitable for garments.

Rayon is a synthetic fibre which has a high gloss finish and is ideal for machine embroidery.

Silk is a natural fibre which is light in weight and also quite strong. It is ideal for sewing on delicate fabrics.

Metallic thread, invisible thread, and other specialty threads are used in a variety of sewing applications..
